On the way to a Christmas diner with Cecelia and Richard we stopped at the Subiaco Art Theater to see the last of the 6 Giants made by Thomas Dambo. This one went for a walkabout. Richard had prepaired a lovely Christas meal which we could eat on their patio till it started to drizzle.  We had animated conversations till late and drove back in the dark.

The next morning (26/12) we went by bus and train to Perth city for a day at the museum. We chose to go to WA museum “Boola Bardip” (many stories). This is a huge new museum with three levels, displaying Western Austalia’s Flora and Fauna’s diversity, the origins land water and sky, and their connection to the Noongar people who were the origional land owners. We joined a small group touring the aboriginal section with an aboriginal guide. Tessa was very knowledgeable and Rudy was able to get answers to many of his questions. There is so much to see and discover that we run out of time (and getting headaches from all the information read). We decided to go back again tomorrow to continue seeing the rest of the exhibition. Along the way we took some photos of buildings and murals around town.

The next day we went back to the museum for the Smoke ceremony and an aboriginal dance. After that we wandered again several hours through the museum and then walked the streets of Perth. Down at the Elizabeth Quay it was busy with a holiday fun-fair.
