It took some time to reduce the 3,400 pictures and video shots of our end 2024 trip through West Australia to a video. In the end there are 3 video’s West Australia North, South and Perth. This split is based on the different environment’s you drive through. Going North there are no forests. The roads are long and straight. It gets hotter and by the time we got to Broom and beyond most attractions were closed due to on coming wet season. The plan was to drive through central Australia (Allice Spring, Adelaide) back but camper issues prevented this (we needed a rental for 18 days). We therefore drove back to Perth and then did the Southern loupe. This area is very attractive with many white sand beaches, wineries, caves and large stretches of forest. Further towards the east are large wheat fields and finally the gold mining area centered around Kalgoorlie. In Perth we visited friends from our time in Brunei and my cousin Carel and his wife Bernadette, who has spent his carrier in the Australia mining industry.  

In March 2026 we have arranged another camper swap starting in Sydney. We first will go for 4 weeks to Tasmania and then drive back north via Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and return the camper in Sydney end May 2026.
