The last 800 km south from Khabarovsk was over a busy winding road. Some stretches had already been upgrade, but a lot was still under construction. We first visited the large regional territorial museum in the city. The usual grannies, which guard the rooms, were very helpful in showing us around. Around 12:00 we left the city and managed to cover half the distance. The valley you drive down is very wide. The river, which forms the border with China, is too far away to see and the mountains with tigers etc before the Pacific Ocean are also in the distance.
