Before stopping at the local motorhome park (busy) (our stop place tonight), we had a look at the Outback Museum. They made it into a great attraction with films over the development of the area from geology to aborigines to large sheep farms and small mining villages. It is an interesting museum.
It was a long day. We got up before 7 am to be in time at the Toyota Garage before 8 am. That worked out and by 11 we were on the road again for a 437 km drive to Broken Hill. Peterborough is a recommended stopping point to visit the Train Museum. Unfortunately, due to funding issues it has been closed for more than 6 months. Instead, we had a sandwich and coffee in the local cafe which had a 1970’s atmosphere with music and clients. Very retro.
