We drove the steep and windy road up to Mount Remarkable NP to hike the Alligator Gorge trail. First a look down from the lookout, then a 4.5 km return walk over the valley floor. It is rocky and some times muddy and wet. It is a well known trail as we saw more people in the gorge.

Back up at the camper we drove down off the mountain and around to the park campsite on the other side of the same mountain. This one is on a dry creak with enormous River Red Gums. There are several good walks to be made from here. A good camping spot to wait till the camper can be serviced? Rudy got up early to phone the Toyota garage. That worked out fine. We can bring the camper for service at 8:00am in Port Augusta tomorrow (Tuesday 5 may). That saves rushing the trip to Brisbane although we may still need to have some long driving days. Before leaving the campsite, we did 2 great short walks along the stony creek, lined with large river red gums, and up a side creak.
