After the gorge in Carnavon we decided to vist another gorge on the way to the coast. We haven’t entered it yet due to the rain. Instead we made a short walk to a cave in the sandstone rock and visited some relics of a gold mine. Also this sandstone mountain with steep cliffs rises up above the landscape

When we came back to the campsite the bird feeding had just started. Many different color parrots arrived and the most daring ones would eat out of your hand. Rudy tried to film Jamaliah covered in parrots but the camera was not running😒. We had to see the “gorge”. So the next morning we did the walk around the other side of the sandstone rise. It felt a bit like walking through the jungle in Brunei. Dry rocky river streams, long thick vines hanging from the trees, a narrow path around the cliff side. There are steps up to the top of the escarpment to see the surrounding. The wide valleys are covered with trees so it did not feel like a gorge. We saw again nice sandstone erosion features as well a cave with a view. On one rock face we saw some faint hand stencils and again some recent graffiti.
