We spent 2 days with Brid and Leo at Brid’s sister (Briona) house. It was Brid’s birthday which was celebrated with a gathering of many family members around a large table with lots of food (snacks salad’s chilies and cakes. Many family stories were told and we cached up on Brid’s and Leo’s doings after we last saw them many years ago. We had Irish weather so our outdoor activity was limited to a nice walk in a park across the street with a castle ruin and many large sometimes exotic trees. We attended Brid and Leo’s wedding here in the local castle over 30 years ago. So, we retraced some of those steps and had drinks in town at the old pub and a great dinner in the castle.
