We stayed 2 lovely days with Richard and Triona, old friends from Shell’s international circuit. While Jamaliah enjoyed a relaxing day with Triona and one of her grandchildren Rudy and Richard explored the waterways towards the ocean harbor by bicycle. In the afternoon we wandered the old city and visited Richard’s Alma Alta.
Out on an Island lies Cobh. Here the Titanic left on her Maiden and final voyage. Just before New Found land it hit an iceberg and sank with some 1500 casualties Many of the people who drowned were Irish emigrants.
