Two weeks ago the car went to the VWshop for its final checkup. The steering wheel Fussepins were replaced as well as all the break pads, air/oil filters and car battery. I also got a set of spare oil and filters to take along. How this will all fit in is a challenge. Especially since I also want to ad a set of shock absorbers and a spring coil which were replaced with a stronger set in September. I also took the car to Steenwijk for a check on the automatic transmission. As expected the cooling during the long mountain drives was deemed to be insufficient so the original heat exchanger was replace with a small transmission oil radiator placed in the front of the normal radiator. Moreover I had slots cut in the carter protection plate underneath the car so cool air can pass through. Most likely on overheated transmission caused the safety system to reduce the engine power last year in the croatian mountains.
