The drive out of the Fergana range took the whole day. Each plateau we reached was higher than the previous one. The sites from the passes were beautiful. The road was dry and drivable. Passepartout did of course have trouble with the high altitude but we managed to coach him over the passes. At 16:15 we stopped to let the others catch up. This was in a large wide high altitude plain of 2800m. One of the cars just stopped functioning at that point. Fortunately after a short towing the internal computer was reset or fooled and it could start again. Because there was no phone reception there we drove on at 19:30 to find a lower spot. To get there we drove over the highest pass of the day: 3389 m. It was a lovely drive and the sunset gave warm colours to the rocks.
