After breakfast we decided to stay another night in Oskemen. After the gruelling drive yesterday we deserved a no-car day. Instead we started walking. First to the park around the corner from the hotel. It a beautifully laid out park with lots of flower beds and sitting area. Classical music was playing softly from loudspeaker. In the park we visited the open-air museum of Kazakh/Altay houses. We were guided by a couple of grandma who showed us the houses (if they could find the right key).

Since it was a hot day we didn’t walk that much. Instead we decided to make use of the free Wifi in the park by reading our latest email and newspaper. And Rudy of course make use of the free time by taking a nap on the bench. In the evening after diner we watched TV for the first time since we left Holland (Brazil vs Chile football match was on).
