We followed the narrow coastal road over the limestone hills. In Doolin we stopped at one of several caves. The limestone is tight. Water only flows via fractures. As a result, there are many underground rivers and few caves and even less stalactites. We descended in a manmade shaft and along a low tunnel to where the underground rivers flows. There at the junction, the world’s third longest stalactite is hanging down.

Later we followed the twisting road along the ocean side with stops to see the cracked limestone pavement to Galway.

Here we set up camp on a large parking lot under construction next to the train station. Rudy was desperate for a haircut and Jamaliah took the opportunity to go window shopping. The town is an old sea fairing trading town with a university.  Very lively with music on the street and in the pubs. We again enjoyed live music with a coke and Guinness.

In the morning an e-car owner asked if we can help starting his car. He needed my starting cables. Strangely I could not find where my car battery is (not under the car bonnet where it normally is) but the Sprinter does start!!! While reading the manual more closely Rudy found it under the floor board at the driver seat.
